Social Consciousness

In our world today, many people just want to be left alone to do their own thing.  Not only do we turn a blind eye to actions of children, allowing them to grow up pampered, selfish, and demanding with no regard for others, but we also turn a blind eye to the same behavior in adults.

We also tend to not care about others in our own communities and around the world who are suffering. Just as long as we can do what we want to do, it’s not our problem.

But it is.

Below are my thoughts on different social concerns that come up, from people close to me or in my circle of day to day interaction, to those so far away that I sometimes forget that what happens to them is an aspect of my own existance.

It does matter what other people do; and sometimes, whether you like it or not, something has to be said or done.
